LETTERS HOME

It is my belief that nothing tells the true reality of war better than the simple writings of the common soldier.

This page will showcase the letters of Canadian soldiers in the Great War. Each month I will be selecting a new letter from my files and putting it online. I will also include a brief biography of the soldier, if known, and a photograph, if available.

If you have a letter or postcard from a WW1 soldier that you would like to have showcased, I would be pleased to feature it. All you need do is send the letter as a text file, in an email message to me, Brian L. Massey. Please do not send the letter as a file attachment ~ make it part of the body of the email message itself. Put LETTERS HOME in the subject line of your email. You may also include a biography or any other additional information you wish.
