Here is the announcement for our February meeting as it went to the newspaper:
Suzanne H. Lewis, Attorney and Counselor at law, will be the guest speaker for the February meeting of the Albany County Genealogical Society. Her program is titled "From Generation unto Generation: Thy Will Be Done." She will discuss wills, trusts, probates, and answer questions regarding the disposition of family estates.
The public is invited to attend this presentation to be given Tuesday
evening, February 8, at 7pm in the Wesley dining room of the First United
Methodist Church, 13th and Harney Streets.

Please pay your dues to the Society if you have not done so. They are
$10 for individual membership and $15 for a family membership. Make your
check payable to "Albany County Genealogical Society" and give or mail
them to Everett Spackman, treasurer.
Hosts for the evening are Suzanne Roe and Georgia Mitchell.
Our programs are nearly set up for the next year and the 2005 Yearbook
should be ready for distribution at the March meeting. Here is a list of
the programs as we have them set up for the next year:
January - Family History Center - Gayle Henry, director of the center.
February - Wills & Trusts - Suzanne Lewis, attorney
March - Preservation of Your Family Photographs - Rick Walters, photographer & Leslie Shores, photo archivist at the American Heritage Center. You must meet promptly at 7pm at the American Heritage Center because there will be private admittance only at that time.
April - Immigration & Naturalization Records - John Hildreth, Albany County Genealogical Society member.
May - American Indian Genealogical research - Judith Antell, UW Director of American Indian Studies.
June - Land Records - Jackie Gonzales, Albany County Clerk
July - WyoGenWeb, a resource of genealogy in Wyoming - Suzanne Leonard, WyGenWeb state coordinator. Program will be held at the LDS Family History Center, 3311 Hayford, Laramie.
August - Annual Picnic - We may have a panel discussion on Family Reunions.
September - Military Records - Leroy Maki, Albany County Genealogical Society member.
October - Annual Banquet - Once Upon a Time: Write Your Family History - Jean Messinger, genealogist from Windsor, Colorado. To be held at the IOOF Hall, 431 S. 21st St.
November - Genealogy Research in Germany & Poland - Dan Netzel, Albany County Genealogical Society member.
December - Annual Business Meeting and Show and Tell by society members.
January 2006 - The Future of Digital Records, Larry Simms, Family History
Center computer reference professional.
