Looking for info on Rachael MESPELL, dob 1882-1962. Homesteaded Crook County
, 1910-19??. Also brother, Louis MESPELL 1913-19??. Rachael stayed in Wyoming, area unknown, until her death in 1962. Louis returned to Indiana.
Looking for any information on Carrie Hovelsrud who married August
Johnson. They had 8 children.
They lived in Hulett, Wyo.
Their children were Arthur, Dena, who married Lewis French. Harry,
Theodore,Claudia, she married Art Linkletter. Hannah, who married John
Mulvany, Anna, who married Ed Vines and Carl Johnson, who married
Thelma ?.Carrie (died young).

I am looking for information and descendants of Lillian (Ivey) HACKETT. She
may have come to Wyoming in the early 1900's with her sister's daughter,
Marion (Whitney) WELLS. She had been married to Robert Hackett. Reply to

I am looking for information about and descendants of my father's cousin,
Marion Merle (Whitney) Wells. I know that she lived in Hulett, Crook Co.,
WY when she filled out an application for a Social Security Number, May 1,
1955. Her last residence was listed as Sundance, Crook Co., WY 82729, when
she died in Oct 1974. I believe she had some daughters, who may have
married and will have other names now. My name and address: Mary (Ivey)
Kramer, 1777 Larimer St. #2108, Denver, CO 80202.
John S. VEST and Matha Ellen HART were married 20 March 1861 Polk
Co., MO. The IGI shows John Sears VEST and Mary HART in
Washington Co., AR with children Charles Frederick b. 1870,
Lillie Maude b. 1872, and Mable Clara b. 1874. Martha/Mary died
prior to 1877, and John remarried to Mary Calhoune PRYOR. More
children were born to this couple: Benjamin Lee b. 1877, John
Sear Jr. b. 1879, and George Bernard b. 1887. George was born in
Crook County, Wyoming. I'm looking for any information and
connections to this family.
I am searching for any info on the name FRIELER. There was a John
S. dod 12-26-1879 that married Elenanor Marion Williams dod
10-18-1884. Had two sons by the name of John Maxwell dob
9-21-1903, and Fredrick arthur dob 1-25-1905. John enlisted in
WW! Fremont Co, Idaho. The draft registration shows him having
family in Moorcroft, WY. Can you please help? Anything on the
name FRIELER would be great!
Looking for more information on the family of WILLIAM R. SMITH b.
1854 in Calif., moved back to Tama Co. Iowa and then to Crooke Co
Wy in 1880's. Homesteaded on Deep Creek near Mona Wy. His wife's
name was Lavina Harden daughter of Johnathan Harden and Maria
Hull. Johnathan also lived in this area. William SMITH's daughter
Martha SMITH m. Alexander PHILLIPS who also homesteaded in this
area.
DICKINSON,Leroy and wife Martha Homestead 4miles west of
sundance, Wy. Cook co. in mid to late 1800's both are burried in
sundance. They had a girl zanetta also adopted a 2 weekold boy
Zanetta married Edward collins Smith 1895 Iam looking for dates

also location of homestead. I would like to know name of adopted
boy also want to know leroy's occupation and comunity involment.
I am looking for any information on some ancestors who
homesteaded in Crook County, WY between about 1880 and 1920.
Their names are John Hardin (and Anna) Farris, Carter S. (and
Nora Farris) Stephens, and their children: L.D. Parker Stephens,
Clifford Stephens, and Genevieve Stephens. John was a Freighter
for a time in South Dakota - between Deadwood, and Peirre. His
homestead was near Aladdin, WY. Carter made his living cutting
ties for the railroad (I am told) and may have managed a
commisary in Farral, WY. He had a land patent for his 160 acres
in the Aladdin - Beulah - Farral area in 1914. His children were
born there. Nora was born on her parents homestead near Aladdin
in the 1880's. They left sometime in the 1920's? Moving to Saint
Onge, and Belle Fourche, SD. Any information that you can share
would be appreciated.
Looking for any information regarding the name PISTO. From Italy.
Settled in a mining town in eastern Wyoming which shut down in
19??. Family moved to Gillette and Sheridan. Also Sheridan part
of family changed name to PRESTON in 1920's to 1930's. Lived at
120 West 6th Street in Sheridan.
I am looking for informaion on my Grandfather Frank Sullivan. He
married my Grandmother Nona Wallace in Wyoming sometime in 1926.
They were then divorced at the end of 1927. Grandma was pregnant
with my dad Joseph Bates Sullivan. He was later adopted by my
Grandfather Slade. I believe they were married in either Superior
or Rock Springs. I would like to find a copy of the Marriage and
divorce papers. Thanks in advance for any and all help!
YEO researching Nellie M Blackburn who married Mr. Yeo they lived
in Beulah Wy in 1928. All her sisters and brother were but up for
adoption in 1913 IA childrens Home Des Moines. She contacted the
home in 1928 trying to locate her siblings. Her letter stated she
lived in Buelah Wy at that time. She was born c 1906 Clayton Co
IA. The letter asked by fathers adoptive parents if they would
make contact with her. They choose not to make contact. I know
nothing else. I received a copy of her letter when my father
died. I can not locate any inf about her. I found no marriage in
Crook Co.
Loe, Robert B. Born Aladdin WY about 1911. Parents Ole and Stella
Loe. May have moved to SD. around 1917. Ole Loe may have worked
on a logging train. Seeking ANY information on all these lost

was born in Sundance WY 11-26-18. His mother was Frankie Hannah
Martin, born 03-05-1889 not sure where. His fathers name was

I'm looking for information about the family of George W. and
Elizabeth Ann (GOOD) LANEY. George and Elizabeth migrated from
Greene Co., MO to Crook Co., WY in about 1883. They may have
temporarily lived in Spearfish, Lawrence Co., SD and I haven't
found the family on the 1900 census. The 1941 death certificate
of Elizabeth Ann (GOOD) LANEY states that she lived in the
community for 58 years. George W. LANEY was born May 9, 1851 in
Springfield, Greene Co., MO and died Feb 6, 1924 in Sundance,
Crook Co., WY. Elizabeth was born Feb 11, 1856 in Columbus,
Barthelomew Co., IN, and died Jun 3, 1941 in Sundance, Crook Co.,
WY. They were married Dec 2, 1874 in Christian Co., MO. Their
children were: 1. Charles W. LANEY (b: Aug 18, 1875; d: Jun 30,
1907) 2. Ira Nelson LANEY (b: Aug 12, 1877 in MO; d: Dec 25,
1959) 3. Susannah Rose LANEY (b: Sep 30, 1879; d: Aug 1971)
married Harry T. MILLS 4. Clement Arthur LANEY (b: Jan 15, 1883;
d: Jun 13, 1924) 5. Samuel Frederick LANEY (b: Jul 4, 1886) 6.
Benjamin Harrison LANEY (b: Jun 5, 1889 in Sundance, Crook Co.,
WY; d: Oct 2, 1968 in Bakersfield, CA) married Alta Esther
GARRETT 7. George Kenneth LANEY (b: May 22, 1899 in Spearfish,
Lawrence Co., SD; d: Mar 10, 1992 in Albany, Dougherty Co., GA)
married Lora Ann SMITH on Dec 29, 1919 in Valentine, Cherry Co.,
NE George Kenneth and Lora Ann (SMITH) LANEY were my
grandparents. Where are my great-grandparents George W. and
Elizabeth A. LANEY buried? Neither death certificate state where.
I greatly appreciate this opportunity to learn about my Crook
County roots an possibly connect with some "cousins".

Looking for information & descendants of Jeremiah P. BUSH, b.
abt 1836. He married Isabelle HUNTER in MO in 1867. Some of their
children are: Dick, James b. abt 1870, and Fount b. abt 1874.
They moved to an area on the Belle Fourche River, two miles
northeast of where Hulett, Wyo. is now located. They were
friends, or relatives of Green TODD. Jeremiah's parents were
Felix G. BUSH & Almira DEABORN, stepmother Sarah TODD. If
anyone knows of this family please contact me.
