INDEX OF OBITUARIES FOR NATRONA COUNTY:
The Natrona County Genealogical Society is developing an Index of Obituaries. Each listing consists of the name of the deceased, date of publication, name of newspaper, page (and, for the older papers, column) on which the obituary was found. This will be a computer generated listing of individuals for all obituaries printed in all newspapers published in Natrona County. This project is the work of volunteers and, while carefully and diligently done, it is not guaranteed to be without errors and omissions. When completed, it will be available at the Natrona County Genealogical Society Library (LDS Family History Center) for look-ups. As of December 2000, the index is completed for 1889 to 1925 and for 1966 to 1999. Ancestry.com has purchased the electronic (internet) rights for these obituary listings and it is expected that they will be available through that internet site when the project is completed. NOTE that this Index is only a listing of individuals, the actual obituary could be obtained by a search of the newspaper archives located in the Natrona County Public Library.
