TROOP E, WYOMING

This Troop was organized with men from Sheridan, Crook, and Weston Counties, Wyoming, and was mustered into United States service as Troop E of the 2nd United States Volunteer Cavalry Regiment on May 23rd, 1898, at Fort D.A. Russell, Wyoming, for two years service.

This Troop was organized in Sheridan, Wyoming, by Mr. Charles Lenwood, who was rejected from service due to poor eye sight. The Troop was mustered into United States service as Troop G of the 2nd United States Volunteer Cavalry Regiment at Fort D.A. Russell, Wyoming, for two years service.
