Raymond E. Orre, 70, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County. Cremation has taken place and services will be at a later date. Kane Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born Sept. 19, 1930, in Slayton, Minn., to Robert Gustaf and Johanna Johnson Orre. He grew up on a farm. He graduated from high school and worked as a telegraph operator for the Union Pacific Railroad. He also worked as a dispatcher for the Utah Highway Patrol in Salt Lake City until his retirement. He then moved to Sheridan. He enjoyed photography, music, traveling and shooting. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ernest; and two sisters, Myrtle and Irene. Survivors include two sisters, Elsa Jackson of Las Vegas, and Margaret Pierce of Fulda, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
