Steven M. Velazquez, 56, of Sheridan died Thursday, June 4, 1998, in Englewood, Colo.
Services are June 8 at 1 p.m. at the Fairmount Mortuary Chapel in Denver. Burial will be at the Fairmount Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 11, 1941, in Denver to Felix and Viola Velazquez. He worked at Spring Creek Coal Company in Sheridan as a heavy equipment operator.
Mr. Velazquez enjoyed fishing and skiing. He also was an E.M.T. and worked on a ski patrol.
Survivors include his mother and father, Felix and Viola Velazquez, of Westminster, Colo.; a sister, Mary Velazquez, of Aurora, Colo.; a brother, Joseph Velazquez, of Englewood, Colo.; a son, Dean Velazquez, of Durby, Kan.; and two daughters, Jennifer Love, of Ventura, Calif., and Sarah Velazquez of Broomfield, colo.; and three grandchildren.
